Cardiac First Responder

Description:
Provides students with ability to recognize and treat the four major life threats as follows:

  • Heart Attack
  • Cardiac Arrest
  • FBOA (Choking)
  • Stroke

All the above are covered for treatment of adults, children and infants. It also covers CPR and the use of the very important AED (Defibrillator) device, which can be so important in the initial minutes following cardiac arrest, in both adults and children. Designed for Healthcare Professionals it also includes 2 rescuer Scenarios, BVM device. The students will be assed on their skills and also on a written multi choice question paper. This course differs from the CFR responder course by the use of BVM, pulse checks, use of paediatric defibrillation and oxygen administration. Ideal course for Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics requiring a qualification in CPR and AED.

Duration: 6 – 8 hours

Certification: Certificate issued by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) and valid for 2 years will be issued to each successful student
