Paediatric First Aid
Description:
Make sure you know what to do in an emergency. The Paediatric First Aid course is a relaxed course designed to give you an introduction to the skills needed for first aid with children.
During the course, participants will get expert instruction which will make for an excellent learning environment. Completing this course will help you, as a parent or carer to deal with the various incidents which invariably occur as part of growing up, be they minor or otherwise. You can feel safe knowing that you have the skills required to do the right thing in an emergency. We recognise that you are pushed for time this is why we have developed this consice and informative course.
It is designed to teach you:
• CPR
• Choking
• Head injury & meningitis
• Poisons, fits & seizures
• Allergies
• Respiratory disorders
• Burns & scalds
• Wounds, cuts. fractures, sprains & strains
• Conscious/unconscious child
• Recovery position
The Course is delivered by a qualified nurse, who is familiar with all aspects of childcare, and can cover a wide range of issues, of which she has first hand experience. The Course can be held in your own home once you have six people to attend or we also run oublic courses.
It takes approximately 3-4 hours and you will receive a course completion certificate upon successfully completing the course.
